The Designer Eye View series opens the notebook of a professional designer and walks through each porch, one principle at a time — from the way light falls across the steps to the way a single pot anchors an entire composition.
This is not a how-to guide. It is a seeing-guide. Each issue takes one porch (real or aspirational) and dissects it the way a designer would: starting with the first glance, working through scale, balance, repetition, texture, focal point, and the subtle art of what to leave out.
